Time spent: 2.5 hours - mostly working on taking out the eyes, haha

Brushes were either made by me, or have been around too long for me to remember.

Comments: This photomanipulation turned out a lot more morbid than I had intended. I had meant to portray the fact that in dreams, you do not look with your eyes as you would in reality, and yet you can see so much more and learn so much about who you are as a person. You can explore your unconcious mind in your dreams and discover problems you never knew existed. You can also notice people or things you have taken for granted. So, the things I only dream about are the things I never have the time to realize in real life, because I'm too busy doing something else. The castle, to me, represents all the mysterious things locked up from my waking mind, and the dove represents the freedom of finding out these things. To you, it probably means something different, but I really hope you don't just look at it and think, "well, that's only what I would see in a nightmare".

i dont think it looks morbid at all....the background could be alittle lighter but i love the concept and how she doesnt have eyes. the writing around the border adds a nice touch

thanks! haha, i was debating whether the background should be light or dark... i guess i shouldn't have added so many layers of black... oh well, there's always next time

All the elements of the piece really bring it together into a fabulous work. The music notes, the border, the lack of eyes on the face. Nice piece

I had a dream once where some people looked like that...no eyes...that was kinda freaky

i've never dreamed about this before, but i did see the boy with no eyes and no mouth in "Brothers Grimm"... may have affected this piece a little... haha

mmm, prettty~~ i like the music notes in the background :3
the dove was hard to tell though >_<;; took me a while to see it, lol~
but its okay, its nicely blended overall ;D
